Brilliant, festive, joyous.
This JS Bach rarity is a joyous musical setting of the Christmas story according to evangelists Luke, Matthew and John.
Tracing the birth of Christ, the adoration of the shepherds and the visitation of the Wise Men, Bach draws upon the full resources of orchestra, chorus and vocal soloists to bring poignancy and humanity to the age-old nativity story. Of the six cantatas which make up the Christmas Oratorio, four are performed in this concert: parts one, two, three and six.
Don’t miss the concert that will make the festive season one to remember.
