Unconventional, mesmerising and filled with strange light.
Australian composer Harry Sdraulig’s dazzling Icarus, written for our Principal Piccolo Lloyd Hudson, takes inspiration from the tragic myth of Icarus.
Biber’s Battalia is a 1673 masterpiece packed with stamping and rowdy melodies meant to imitate drunken sailors.
Schubert’s sparkling Symphony No 5 was written when he was just 19.
Chief Conductor and Artistic Director Eivind Aadland is on the podium and William Newbery is your host.
This concert is part of our 6pm Series.
